Carbon Poker is offering a new banking option called PINDebit. This option allows players to deposit with a checking account and also cash out their Carbon Poker winnings at more than 800,000 ATM’s world wide with the PINDebit ATM card..
Setting up an account (including my experience so far):
Setting up an account at Pin Debit is a multi step process with the initial step taking about 5 minutes to complete.
The first page of the sign up process is to fill out an application that includes personal information such as address, date of birth, social, contact info etc.
After completing this info and continuing from the confirm screen players are brought to an identification section. You are asked 2 personal questions that are gathered from your credit report. For example the questions I was asked: Back in 1999 you had a student loan, who was the issuing creditor of that loan? What was the payment amount on this loan (The answers were so high that it was obvious the correct answer was non of the above).
If both questions are answered correctly players are then approved for an account and can set up their username, password and pin on the next page.
The next step is funding that account. The initial account can be funded between $60 and $200 and all that is needed it to enter simple bank account details and click continue.
The final step is to check your checking account statement in a few days to look for a micro deposit. You will need to get that amount and enter it on the Pin Debit account to confirm the checking account.
At this time the account will be funded and the card will be shipped. It will take 10-15 days for the card to arrive.
I completed the first portion of the application process today and will keep you update though the different stages all the way up to making my first withdrawal and any future news about the site.
Update #1 - Micro deposit received and account confirmed: I started the sign up process on a Friday afternoon. The micro deposit of 49 cents showed up into my account today, which is the following Monday. I entered this amount on the PinDebit website which confirms my account and auto debits my checking account $62.89 for my initial $60 deposit. I’m now waiting on these funds to clear at which time my card will be printed and shipped and the $60 will be available in my account to deposit into Carbon Poker.
