Software: The software has been greatly improved over the years and now ranks amongst the top three software packages online. Party Poker is constantly adding new features, upgrading its security and improving their software to compete against the other two big poker rooms, Full Tilt and Poker Stars. These big rooms are fighting to be the worlds largest and best online poker room. Party Poker was the first poker room to provide re-sizeable poker tables and soon after Full Tilt and PokerStars upgraded their software to provide this as well. Party Poker is nearly 100% independent. The only other room that is on the Party Poker network is Empire Poker. Both rooms are nearly identical and are owned by Party. Party Poker’s software has many excellent features built in to the software which include, resizable tables, side bets, advanced lobby filters, superior multi table support and player to player transfers. Within the tables players are able to view their tables and individual statstics, such as average pot, hands per hour, flop seen percentage and much more. Also another unique feature is an automated deal making function. Players at the final table of a multi table tournament can click on a button to indicate they wish to discuss a deal. If all players click this button the game will be paused and the deal making window comes up. Players can make and vote on proposals; if all players agree to a deal the software will change the payouts based on the players agreement.
The Party Poker software operates very smooth but a draw back to the software is the table layout is quite crowed and lacks a good feel. The table seems quite small compared to the size of avatars and the players graphics. The bet options are on the bottom right of the table with an area to type in your bet as well. You have the ability to pre-select advance play options, which improves multi-tabling play. On the bottom left of the table you have an area where you can type in the chat box to communicate with other players. Also from within that area you can view your personal statistics.
From within the lobby players can edit and customize table layouts. With the ability to change chat options from none, player only, dealer only, summary only. From the options menu you can also turn the sound off or on. The lobby has the same problem as the table layout, its a bit congested. While there are tournament and cash games filter, it still feels like you have to search a lot more with a tiny window. Once you get the hang of Party Poker and get use to the software you will have no problem operating and navigating your way through the interfaces.
Unfortunately the cashier set up is inferior to its rivals Full Tilt and PokerStars. To access the cashier you must visit Party Poker’s website and navigate through a web page, rather then simply having the cashier built in to the Party Poker software. From within the cashie’s webpage you can transfer between the Party Sportsbook, Casino and Bingo. Also you have the ability to transfer funds between members.
