Everest Poker Sponsors 2008 WSOPJust recently, Everest Poker and Harrah’s Entertainment announced a multi-year agreement, which makes Everest Poker the sole sponsor and online poker satellite provider to this years World Series of Poker.

This is a win-win for both companies. Everest Poker will increase there brand image with having their name and logo on the main TV tables of the WSOP aired events. The WSOP reaches a world wide audience of approximately 200 million people each year. Also, being the official satellite provider will also give Everest a large contingent of the European based poker players opportunities to qualify for a WSOP tournament.

Harrah’s is also coming out ahead with this agreement, as they are looking to solidify the WSOP brand globally. Everest Poker offers their software, website and support in multiple languages. They were the first online poker room to offer their product in several different languages other than English and promote the European markets aggressively. This added exposure to Europe and other major countries that Everest markets to will exponentially grow the WSOP brand.

Everest’s VP of Marketing, Jennifer Joyce had this to say about the recent deal, “We are thrilled with this deal, as it will allow us to leverage our access to the WSOP to give our European players the best chance possible to compete at, and win, WSOP events in Las Vegas. We have always strive’d to make poker as accessible as possible to everybody, not just the elite few. The WSOP is the true global standard for poker giving pros a chance at history and amateur players the chance to fulfill their dream by rubbing shoulders with the legends. Our goal is to see a European win the Main Event.”

Everest has wasted no time in offering satellites to the 2008 World Series of Poker. Below are the current satellites running:

$13,000 WSOP Main Event Package Each Monday: Mondays are great days for WSOP satellites on Everest Poker. Players will have an opportunity to play for a trip to the Main Event. The winner of this satellites will receive the $10k buy-in and $3,000 for expenses. Players can buy-in to this satellite for $500+30 or satellite there way in from $100+9 Freeze out which runs once or twice per night depending on the evening, $30+3 Rebuy and are ran daily at 9:00 GMT 14:45 GMT 17:30 GMT.

$260,000 Worth of WSOP Main Event Seats Given Out: June 8th Everest is running a tournament where the top 20 players will receive a $13,000 WSOP prize Package. Winners will receive a $10,000 buy-in, plus $3,000 for expenses paid directly into their player account.

$3,500 WSOP Package Each Friday: Each Friday until the WSOP, Everest will paying out a $3,500 prize package. Winners will receive a $1,500 seat into any event they choose and $2,000 will be shipped to their Everest player account for expenses. Satellites run daily which include: $3.30 re-buy and a $11+1 freeze out tournament. Players may buy-in directly for $109

$7,500 WSOP Package Each Wednesday: Every Wednesday Everest players will find a $7,500 WSOP prize package given away. This includes a $5,000 WSOP event and $2,500 paid directly to the winners player account for expenses. Daily satellites take place with a $22+2 freeze out or a $5.50 re-buy tournament. To buy-in directly will cost $200+15.

Ladies Only – Sunday, May 18th is the ladies day on Everest Poker. A tournament where the top 5 females will receive a $3,000 prize package, which includes a seat in the Ladies World Championship plus $2,000 credited to their Everest Poker account for expenses. This tournament is only $55+5 to enter.
