Tiffany Michelle and Maria Ho Join Amazing RaceProfessional poker players Tiffany Michelle and Maria Ho have been confirmed as contestants on the 15th season of Amazing Race by press of CBS. They will be competing against 11 other teams including Harlem Globetrotters Nate Lofton and Herbert Lang.

On CBS.com, you can view a video with Michelle commenting about how no female team has ever won and that her team has an edge because they are use to winning at something women normally don’t succeed at (poker).

25 year old Tiffany Michelle is most notorious for her 2008 World Series of Poker Main Event performance, where she finished 17th and was the last woman standing. Michelle has also made a name for herself with her excellent commentating work with Bluff Magazine and PokerNews. Recently, Michelle has been perusing an acting career with appearances on ER, Guilty or Innocent and Canadian show This Hour has 22 minutes.

Michelle’s teammate Maria Ho is a 26 year old born in Taiwan and residing in California. Ho and Michelle had similar poker feats as in 2007 Ho was the last woman standing in the World Series of Poker Main Event finishing in 38th place.

The race begins in Los Angeles River basin and will move all the way to Tokyo, Japan completing many tasks along the way. The finish line is a familiar place for Michelle and Ho, which is Las Vegas, Nevada.

Amazing Race season 15 premiers on Sunday, September 27th 2009 with a 2 hour episode on CBS.

Michelle and Ho are not the first poker players to compete on a reality television show as Jean-Robert Bellande joined Survivor and Annie Duke placed second on the Celebrity Apprentice Season 2. Duke also appeared on 1 vs 100 in 2006.
