Soren Kongsgaard Joins Team Full Tilt PokerThe Danish poker scene has exploded and many great poker Danes have made a name for themselves and the most recent one, Soren Kongsgaar joins his fellow Dane, Gus Hansen on Full Tilt Poker. The 21 year old professional poker player has signed a one year sponsorship with Full Tilt Poker without even playing one live event in North America.

“I am extremely happy and glad about this opportunity. It’s really huge for me to get a chance to join Full Tilt Poker´s team,” said Kongsgaard. “My agency, Pokericons,- have really done a great job at making this happen.”

Soren Kongsgaard has nearly $1.3 million in lifetime live winnings and over $800,000 in online tournament winnings. His major scores have been:

2nd place – Irish Poker Championship – $31,455
1st place – Scandinavian Open/ EPT Event Season 3 – $69,580
6th place – Asian Poker Classic 2007 – $48,500
3rd place – EPT Grand Final – $800,199
1st place – Barcelona Open/EPT Event Season 4 – $134,601
1st place – Poker Royale Masters – $52,425
1st place – Olympic Open Championship – $23,906
12th place – 2008 WSOP Europe Event 4 – $107,802

“I have played at Full Tilt Poker for many years and I know many of the other team members and they are all great players and persons that I’m now glad to be a part of,” said Kongsgaard.

Other Danish poker players that have been receiving a lot of attention include Peter Eastagte, who won the 2008 World Series of Poker Main Event and became the youngest poker player to do so. Jesper Hougaard another player to win a WSOP bracelet and a WSOP Europe bracelet. Furthermore, of course every one knows Gus Hansen who has been in the mainstream poker spot light for many years.
