PokerStars signs another celebrity poker buff, Jason Alexander who is most known from the role he played on hit comedy television show Seinfeld. Jason joins the celebrity side of team PokerStars, which consists of: hockey player Mats Sundin, baseball pitcher Orel Hershiser, and former tennis professional Boris Becker. He will also be surrounded by professional poker players like Daniel Negreanu, Barry Greenstein, Greg Raymer and many more.
Jason will be promoting the poker site online and at live poker tournaments, including the 2009 World Series of Poker and all the PokerStars tours that embraces the Asian Pacific Poker Tour, Australian New Zealand Poker Tour etc. “PokerStars has very graciously asked me to sign on as one of their official players,” Alexander said. “I am very flattered and happy to be playing for a real quality site and with the kind of professionals that remind me every day how truly mediocre I am at this game. But I’m learning. And now I can learn from some of the best.”
Over the past few years the Seinfeld star has appeared at many celebrity poker tournaments and events, along with a handful of major events that includes the 2008 NBC’s National Heads-up Championship, Celebrity Poker Showdown, and WSOP events.
