Leeann Tweeden New Poker After Dark Host
Season four of Poker After Dark will begin with a new poker babe that will be filling the shoes of Marianela Pereyra. Leeann Tweeden will be the third poker babe/host to the popular late night NBC poker series. The first host of the show was the sexy Shana Hiatt. Shana had to leave the show because she is expecting a baby. There is no word of yet of why Marianela got the boot, but we will sure to post the rumors when they arise.
Leeann Tweeden was a previous poker babe on the Mansion Poker Dome Challenge on FSN all the way back in 2006. She handled co-host and interviewer duties in the Dome and became quite popular amongst the poker enthusiasts. This wasn’t the only experience she had in the poker industry as she hosted the 2008 NBC National Heads Up Poker Championship, which begin airing on this Sunday.
Poker After Dark is an invitational only six handed tournament where players compete for a $120,000 winner take all prize. The tournament is broadcast on 6 nights of the week on NBC.
Harrah’s Casino To Be Renamed
Today, Harrah’s Entertainment board of directors announced it has approved to change their name to Caesars Entertainment Corporation. The name change is now pending regulatory approval.
The name change was designed to capitalize on the international house hold name of Ceasers. This brand name and image is more appealing to customers and known for world renowned entertainment.
“Adoption of the name Caesars Entertainment Corporation will provide our company with greater prestige and help attract strategic business partners as we pursue expansion opportunities in new jurisdictions. The change also reflects our evolution into a full-service entertainment company that offers a rich range of gaming and non-gaming amenities to our guests.” said Gary Loveman, Harrah’s chairman, president and CEO.
Harrah’s is most known in the poker community as the owner and operator of the World Series of Poker.
