As PKR celebrates its 2nd birthday on August 17 2008, they have much to celebrate. This past year has seen the site gain great growth with 1.1 Million new real money players signing up. This has brought its membership up to just over 2 million making it the fastest growing poker room that does not allow Americans and the 2nd fastest growing poker room over all.
In July PKR.com surpassed Cryptologic, Ladbrokes and Betfair making it the 15th busiest poker site for real money players as stated in a PKR media release. In the last year PKR has also launched PKR TV an hour long show that reaches up to 15 million Europeans every week, as well as a Club PKR Loyalty program putting it in league with the other major poker sites.
To mark the occasion PKR will host theme tournaments that will include a Bounty Tournament, they will also have happy hour sessions and 3 extra 500 freerolls. As well as all this they are having a special Trailblazers money added tournament to reward those who signed up as beta testers before the launch of the site in 2006.
