Josh Field has been in the news a lot recently as he’s been preparing to make his live poker debut. Josh is a young poker prodigy who plays online under the handle JJ Prodigy At age 16 he was caught both having lied about his age to online poker sites and cheating through the use of multiple accounts.
Having just turned eighteen about a week ago, Josh was all prepared to make his live tournament debut at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure but was told by PokerStars that due to his online poker ban, he is not welcome at any events hosted by their site. This did not stall Josh very long though from making his debut as just a couple weeks after receiving this news, he made his debut in Melbourne at the Aussie Millions.
PokerNews.com reporter Amanda Leatherman caught up with Josh Field for this interview which is also available on the PokerTube.com PokerNews channel;
Weather you like this kid or not, it’s clear that he has some amazing poker talent. It will be interesting to see how he fairs on the live poker circuit and if he manages to find a way to redeem himself to his pees, which so far have been hesitant to accept his apologies.
In the past, young players having success in live tournaments helped fuel the online poker boom. If for no other reason than this, we’d love to see Josh fair well and wish him the best of luck.
