Ivey, Benyamine, Antonius Accept Durrr's ChallengeWe reported yesterday that high stakes professional poker player Tom ‘Durrr’ Dwan issued an open prop bet to the poker world now called the “Million Dollar Challenge”. Today that challenges was accepted by three of the biggest names in high stake poker Phil Ivey, David Benyamine and Patrik Antonius

Poker forums such as 2+2’s NVG are buzzing with excitement as player’s debate and predict the outcome of this challenge. Only time will tell if highly respected young gun sensation durrr has bit off more than he can chew, or will further cement his legacy as an all time great.

The prop bet is quite simple, durrr is challenging anyone in the world to a heads-up poker contest of Pot Limit Omaha or No Limit Texas Holdem at the limits of $200/$400 or higher. Durrr and the challenger will play a required 50,000 hands. If after the 50,000 hand Durrr is down money to the challenger he will be required to pay out $1.5 million and if Durrr profits the challenger plays him $500,000. Obviously, any money that has also been won during the 50,000 hands will be kept.

When the bet was first announced nearly every poster and journalists believed it wouldn’t take place, although within a few days three players have already accepted the challenge. It is also rumored, but not confirmed, that David Benyamine will play first, then Phil Ivey and finally Patrik Antonius.

Ivey announced his acceptance on Pokerroad webcast edition “Tuesdays with Ivey” where he discussed the challenge with Barry Greenstein. Ivey stated he believes that most of durrr’s matches will end around the 30k mark with the loser paying the penalty of $500,000 or $1.5 million. Other awesome comments made by Phil Ivey:
