High Stakes Poker season 5 episode 9 aired last night, and it was finally an interesting episode with this group of players. What helped this episode was the return of durrrr, after Sam Simon, the co-creator of the Simpson’s left without reason and durrrr filled his seat. Immediately, action picked up and there was even one hand where durrrr four bet six eight offsuit preflop against a tight opponent Howard Lederer.

This episode also featured an awe-inspiring call from Patrik Antonius and I’m not going to give any details away that will spoil the hand. We also get to see some of the back end cameras and how the show is filmed when Antonius Esfandiari realized he was missing $50,000 from his stack. The producers and TV crew went through the film looking for any evidence as to where the money went. Near the end of the episode we get told the whole story and how the money was found.
