High Stakes Poker Season 5 Episode 8 aired this past Sunday on the Game Show Network (April 19th, 2009) and this week featured a lot more action than the previous episode, which was a bit on the boring side. During episode 8 an interesting prop emerged in which the winning hand must have one hole card shown. One has to assume this was brought up to gain information on the two ‘fish’ at the table, who are Nick Cassavetes and Sam Simon.

The high light of the episode is a prop bet on how many push-ups Antonio Esfandiari can do . It is hard to tell who has action on the bet since Nick Cassavetes wouldn’t stop yelling about making sure each push up hit the ground. Although, later in the episode they make it clear that Cassavetes bet Esfandiari that he couldn’t do 35 push-ups for $1,000. Esfandiari does 47 push ups and wins the prop bet.
