Team PokerStars.com member Hevad “RaiNKhaN” Khan took down the $10K Main Event Caesars Palace Classic Tournament last week after an impressive 300 players entered. This created a massive prize pool and a first place prize of $1 million, which Khan had no issues accepting for his impressive victory.

Hevad Khan first became known due to PokerStars.com shutting down his account because they believed he was a BOT (a computer program) due to his playing 26 Sit-N-Go’s at once. He made a video of himself doing it to prove that it was really him and following the filming of that video it made its way to YouTube.com and the rest is history. In the 2007 WSOP he made a ton of noise literally while making a very deep run at the “Main Event” leaving him at the final table and a sixth place finish.

2008 has been a good year for Hevad Khan as he started off by winning a Sunday Warm-up event at PokerStars.com worth just over 200k and then registered a second place finish in another Sunday Warm-Up. He was left having high hopes for the World Series of Poker, however all he managed was a deep cash in a preliminary event, and a 240th place finish in the “Main Event”. Although, after all these tournament places he was still looking for that first big score. The Caesars Classic Event was that Score!

As they made a run for the title there were some seasoned veterans of the poker scene in the money including Kathy Leibert, Mike Sexton, Van Nguyen, and Final table mates John Hennigan and Daniel Schreiber. The final table and finishing places with payouts are as follows:

1st Place Hevad Khan $1,000,000
2nd Place Michael Kamran $520,320
3rd Place Gary Friedlander $266,076
4th Place Jonathan Aquiar $206,946
5th Place Joseph Cordi $177,382
6th Place Adam Junglen $147,818
7th Place John Hennigan $118,255
8th Place Daniel Schreiber $88,691
9th Place Michael Fantini $59,127
