The first installment of Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan’s million dollar challenge should be getting underway at any moment on Full Tilt Poker. Full Tilt caught wind of the challenge and has already made accommodations by adding four heads up pot limit Omaha tables and naming them durrr challenge 1 through 4.
It was no surprise that the Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan’s million dollar challenge would be played out at Full Tilt Poker since practically all the challengers are apart of Team Full Tilt and nearly all the high stake action is played there. The first challenge that is slated to take place is against a Full Tilt Professional, Patrik Antonius.
Patrik Antonius is a 29 year old Finnish poker player that has been playing live and online poker for several years and a good majority of the online poker players have a man crush on him. It did not take long for Antonius to accept Durrr’s challenge, and he is one of the three players that did accept the challenge. Phil Ivey and David Benyamine have also accepted the Durrr Challenge.
Who is Tom ‘Durrrr’ Dwan and what is this challenge?
Tom Dwan is a 22 year old professional poker player that has made his mark playing online Texas Hold’em. He is considered one of the best, if not the best at multi-tabling short handed
Hold’em online at nose bleed high stakes. He is starting to receive more publicty as he has appeared on NBC’s National heads Up Poker and on poker show Poker After Dark.
The Durrr’s Million Dollar Challenge was issued on January 5th, and it made headlines in the poker communities across the world. Durrr believes that no one can beat him over 50,000 hands of heads up play while four tabling a minimum of $200/$400 No Limit Hold’em or Pot Limit Omaha. This prop bet challenge is available to anyone except Phil Galfond.
If any player is up on Durrr, they will not only keep the money they made playing heads up, but Durrrr will also have to pay them $1.5 million. If Durrr is up after the 50,000th hand, his opponent will have to pay out $500,000.
We expect the first challenge to be against Patrik Antonius and the entire challenge will take at least a month to play. Once Durrr’s challenge begins, we will be sure to report it.
