Online rail birds were getting impatient wondering when the Million dollar Durrr Challenge will begin, and today they finally received a concrete answer from both Tom ‘Durrrr’ Dwan and Patrik Antonius. The two of them were playing on a Phil Ivey table on Full Tilt Poker when Durrr asked Antonius if he would like to start the challenge. However, the time did not work out for Antonius, and they decided that Wednesday would be more appropriate.

Full Tilt has already made accommodations for the Durrr Challenge by opening up four $200/$400 Pot Limit Omaha tables that are titled “Durrrr’s Challenge 1-4” These matches will have hundreds of rail birds watching and will light up forums with hand histories and table banter around the world.
The Durrr Challenge was issued by 22 year old prodigy poker player Tom Dwan who plays under screen name Durrrr on Full Tilt Poker. The challenge consists of a prop bet with Durrr risking $1.5 million to the challengers $500,000, and he is betting that no one can beat him four tabling No Limit Texas Hold’em or four tabling Pot Limit Omaha over 50,000 hands. If Durrr comes out as a loser, he will have to pay the opponent $1.5 million and the opponent will also keep all the earnings from playing. If Durrr comes out a winner after 50,000 hands he will also keep the earnings from playing along with $500,000 from the prop bet.
This prop bet was first made public on January 5th 2009, and it only took a few days for players to accept. As it stands right now Patrik Antonius, David Benyamine and Phil Ivey are the only players to accept the challenge.
