Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan has issued a new challenge to any willing high stakes poker player in the world, to compete against him in a live setting in London, England during the month of September.
As it stands right right now Matchroom Sport, a television distribution company located in the United Kingdom will be filming and producing the matches. The challenge will have four different opponents in a series of $500,000 heads up matches in either no limit Texas Hold’em or pot limit Omaha. Each player will square off against durrrr until one is broke or 500 hands have been played. The blinds will be $500 – $1000 so its safe to assume that there will be a couple players going bust.
We have yet to hear who will be competing against Tom Dwan in the challenges. Although there are many rumors circulating that Luke Schwartz will be competing in a match. Schwartz is an up and coming online poker player under screen name FullFlush1. He has called out Dwan many times in the past year and a feud has definitely been created between these two young players. The first durrrr challenge was accepted by Patrik Antonius early in the year. The two of them agreed to play 50,000 hands with durrrr giving 3-1 odds to Antonius. However, the year is already half over and the challenge isn’t even half completed. As it stands right now durrrr has a $726,546 lead over Antonius with only 20,647 hands being played.
