DoylesRoom.com releases major software updateOnline poker room, doylesroom.com, emailed their player base a message today with the subject “Our Biggest Game Update in Over a Year”. The body of the email announces several new features which doylesroom.com claims not only raise the bar, but single-handedly revolutionize game play.

While we won’t go as far ourselves as calling the software revolutionary we will say that, with the upgrades, the software now rivals that of current software leaders Full Tilt Poker and Ultimate Bet. The new features include resizable tables, instant hand replays, customizable table themes and the ability to use self uploaded avatars.

As first generation poker players ourselves, we had trouble recognizing this new software as having been created by Microgaming. While the Microgaming Network is well known for soft games, easy to clear bonuses and generous network wide promotions; the network has never been known for having great software. So, while we considered the “raise the bar” and “revolutionize game play” statements to be a bit of a stretch, this is certainly top notch software that has done just that (raise the bar / revolutionize) at least far as the Microgaming Network is concerned.

Players that have the old version of the Doyles Room software already downloaded will be automatically upgraded on the software’s next load. New players can download the software here.

About DoylesRoom:

DoylesRoom is the online poker home to the living poker legend, Doyle Brunson, who is one of the most feared high stakes cash game players in the world. His 1979 book “Doyle Brunson’s Super System: A Course in Power Poker” was literally considered the “Bible of Poker” for many years and was the book most all great poker professionals learned from. While Doyle does not have an official ownership stake in the company, he as well as his close friend Mike “The Mad Genius of Poker” Caro both play an active roll in the company’s management and promotions.

To our knowledge DoylesRoom is the only online poker room on the Microgaming Network that accepts Epassporte as one of their banking options. For more information see our DoylesRoom Review.
