Chris Moorman Joins DoylesRoomDespite having the most iconic player in poker history as its namesake, DoylesRoom has always been overshadowed by other sites in the competitive online poker industry. Now on the Cake Network (the 10 largest online poker network in the world), Doyles Brunson appears ready to leverage his reputation, his contacts, and his marketing muscle to carve out his piece of the online poker frontier.

His first major move is establishing the Brunson 10, a hand-picked group of elite poker players who will represent DoylesRoom. The three initial charter members of the Brunson 10 include Amit “amak316″ Makhija, the runner-up in the 2008 WPT Legends of Poker Event. Makhija also capped off 2008 by making the final table of the World Series of Poker Pot Limit Holdem event.

Fellow 2008 WPT Legends of Poker final tablist Zachary “CrazyZachary” Clark also joins Makhija in the Brunson 10 along with Alec “traheho” Torelli who finished 6th in this year’s WSOP $40,000 No Limit Holdem Commemorative tournament.

As the 2009 World Series of Poker Europe main event kicked off, Brunson scored a coup by signing Chris “Moorman1″ Moorman as the 4th member of the Brunson 10. Moorman is known as one of the United Kingdom’s top online poker players with incredible accomplishments like winning three tournaments across three sites with at least $10,000 prize pools in one week. Not content with being known as one
of the most feared European online players, the 24-year old Moorman is also starting to adapt to major live tournaments, catching the eye of the legendary Brunson.

“Moorman reminds me a lot of me, except for the British accent,” Brunson explains. “He’s a poker natural, a legend in the making, and that’s why I’ve handpicked him to be the next member of The Brunson 10, my new team of elite poker players who truly are young legends of the game.”

Such praise doesn’t come often from a player of Brunson’s caliber, but only time will tell if Moorman can live up to the lofty expectations much of the online community has of him. In the meantime, Moorman will be playing regularly on DoylesRoom allowing anyone who’s curious about whether he’s the real deal or not to find out for themselves.
