MarathonBet.com Joins Cake Poker Network

In late January 2008, Cake Poker announced that they have added MarathonBet.com to its network of sites. The announcement came just before the Casino Affiliate Programs convention in London. This is great news for Cake Poker players and for the betters of MarathonBet.com, for they now have easy access to one of the internets fishiest online poker sites.

MarathonBet.com is one of the largest betting operations in Europe and CIS countries, focusing mostly on sports. To this date this is the largest partner that has joined the Cake Poker Network. Although Marathon has chosen a great network to join as well. Over 2007, Cake Poker has experienced exceptional growth with the average monthly rake increasing by more then 15% each month. The peak concurrent player growth was over 370% year over year and the numbers are expected to grow over 2008.

Since this will be the first time Marathon will be running a poker room, they decided to get help from Red Star Poker. Red Star will be providing and handling player support and security for the time being. Having a great team like Red Star will prove to be a long term investment for Marathonbet. Red Star runs a full service online poker room on the Cake Poker Network and supports English and Russian. There software is multi-lingual and allows players to play in several languages other then English.

Cake Poker has also announced that there will be another major sportsbook site that will be joining their network in the near future. Its rumored that the sportsbook will be announced once the dust settles at the convention in London.
