Bodog Opening to Canadians September 1stThere have been rumors circulating about Bodog opening their products to Canadians ever since founder Calvin Ayre sold his interests to the Morris Mohawk Gaming Group. We continued to brush these off as rumors.

However, today a very popular online poker forum known as PokerFives.com had a thread running about Bodog finally accepting citizens from Canada. Also, back in June a Bodog affiliate news letter read, “our ongoing expansion in Europe and Asia combined with the opening to Canada in Fall 2009 will only increase traffic numbers and revenue. “

PokerProp.net followed up on these rumors and an inside source claimed that the online gambling site will launch Bodog.ca and will offer their poker room, sportsbook and casino to all Canadians as of September 1st.

Bodog has not allowed Canadian gamblers since its launch due to offices and business outlets on Canadian soil and wanted to avoid any type of government involvement. Since The Morris Mohawk Gaming Group gained control of Bodog, they have removed all offices and outlets off shore and in the Kahnawake region.
