Hoyt Corkins' House RobbedOn August 23rd World Poker Tour champion Hoyt Corkins’ house was broken into and robbed. Several of Corkins prize possessions were lifted while he was on vacation. From the type of break in that occurred it appears that this was no random robbery and the perpetrators had plenty of time and had planned the heist previously, as they were able to find a way into the guarded and gated community. To gain entry into the home the thieves cut a hole through the garage wall.

Hoyt had nearly all his career poker memorabilia stolen that included his two World Series of Poker Bracelets, World Poker Tour win mantel, and several other trophies that he has collected and won over the years. Over the loss of his belongings Corkins was quoted saying, “”I am clearly devastated by this. My hope is that the poker community will help me try and recover the irreplaceable items that were taken. I truly appreciate the outpouring of love and support I have received.”

Doyles Poker Room sponsored player Hoyt Corkins house is located in Las Vegas in the Spanish Trails suburb and his neighbors could not believe that how much was actually stolen from his home. The culprits made off with high value items such as Hoyt’s cars, electronics, a Harley and over 10,000 in cash.

The nightmare didn’t end there for Hoyt as his identity has also been stolen. According to Las Vegas Now someone also used Corkins’ office phone to obtain a credit card in his name.

Obviously, the police are investigating this crime and the poker community is now on the lookout to see if any of the stolen memorabilia is attempted to be sold. These criminals were the cream of the crop, as police were not even able to find any finger prints due to the burglars spraying everything that they came in touch with.
