The 2008 World Series of Poker Europe edition has been released by Harrah’s Entertainment on Wednesday, July 2nd and the first event will take place on September 19th and will be held until October 2nd. The series will once again be held in London, England, although this years series has been expanded and will include four bracelet events and an addition five non bracelet preliminary tournaments.
The WSOP Europe will once again be sponsored by popular European online poker room, Betfair Poker and the events will be held throughout London Club International properties, including Empire, The Sportsman and Fifty, Golden Nugget and the Rendezvous.
A major addition to the WSOP Europe is the exclusive WSOP telecaster and rights given to ESPN. ESPN will globally broadcast eight hours of the series coverage in late months of 2008. There has been no word as of yet if the popular ESPN360.com will also broadcast the events.
The four tournaments that will be giving out bracelets to the first place winners are:
[9-19-08] Event #1 - £1,500 No-Limit Hold’em Day 1A (three-day event - two opening days)
[9-22-08] Event #2 - £2,500 H.O.R.S.E. (three-day event)
[9-24-08] Event #3 - £5,000 Pot Limit Omaha (three-day event)
[9-27-08] Event #4 - £10,000 World Championship No-Limit Hold’em (five-day event - two opening days)

Great post! Thanks for Harrah’s of providing updated wsop schedule to all fans of poker and although this years series has been expanded and will include four bracelet events and an addition five non bracelet preliminary tournaments.
