Shawn Marion Hosts Charity Poker TournamentShawn Marion, of the Phoenix Suns, is the latest celebrity to go all in for charity. On January 30 he will be hosting his Hearts and Helmets Charity Poker Tournament in Scottsdale Arizona. This event is expected to attract many celebrities as well as professional poker players.

The charities this event support are Suns Nite Hoops, Brad Pitt’s Global Green USA Project for rebuilding New Orleans, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Free Arts of Arizona, the Fournier Center for Empowerment, ICAN, Junior Achievement, the Bus Stops Here Foundation and the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation.

In addition to the poker tournament a number of silent auctions will take place for items such as Super Bowl Tickets, floor seats to Phoenix Suns games, private jet trips, World Series of Poker seats, signed celebrity merchandise and more. Marion hopes this poker event will raise more than $1,000,000 for charity.

Celebrities expected to appear include Shawn Marion, Pamela Anderson, Phoenix Sun and San Antonio Spurs players, NBA Legends, Entourage cast members, Jerome Betits, Wanda Sykes, Shannon Elizabeth, David “Big Papi” Ortiz, Seinfeld cast members and many others.
