Default Finally moving to Vegas

One way or another I am moving here ASAP. I have a lead for an apartment but we'll see because my credit sucks. If I have to beg, borrow or steal I'll figure something out to buy a condo if can't get an apartment.

Whenever I go back to Massachusetts I feel home sick, can't wait to get back to Vegas. So doesn't make sense any longer for this not be where I live.

I turn 30 today (well in 23 min) and its about time I start getting some sort of actual real life established. This is where I want to do it, so my plan is before I leave for the summer on July 16.. that I'll already be moved in somewhere here.

Probably will keep my apartment in MA for the summer. I'm also going to see about getting roommates for that one (is big place with unused rooms) so I could just keep it to have a place to go to when I visit MA for a few days each month.

Anyways will update how it goes. I'm going tomorrow to apply.

Happy Birthday Jim!

I think its great that you are following through with what you want. Solid play. And now should be a good time to get some real estate on the cheap in Vegas, even if its an apartment, Im sure rent is lower than it was a year ago. Good luck finding a place man!

Thanks.
I've been super busy the last day. I had a great birthday. Flew home the next day on just a few hours sleep. Ran errands to collect all the stuff i need to do seeing as i don't plan on coming back to MA for at least a few months and even when I do it will be short - then went out with family that night. Then next day went to beach with my father and daughter. Couple hour drive each way, then today rested up some - went out with more family and now back to Vegas tomorrow.

99% certain I'll be moving to Spanish Palms apartments which are Southwest side of Vegas (10 min drive to strip on non traffic hours - add 5-10 min on heavy traffic days. Its located on Rainbow near Tropicana interesection.

Gated community with two swimming pools, weight room etc. The units are split first and 2nd floor, I'll be on 2nd. Has two car garage with entry to apartment from garage. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, livingroom, dining room etc. $1125 per month for rent. I like the place.

Woman from apartment called me Saturday night said that she's still processing application - but I won't get declined. Its just a matter how much the deposit will be and she'll call me back Monday with what the move in cost will be etc.

I'm not coming back to MA till September 17-21 and then October 7-13 to visit. Looking forward to being in Vegas but having a chance to get away from downtown and the strip which I'm kind of burnt out with but love Vegas.

Move in date will be July 10, so back in hotels from tomorrow until then for me.

I move in July 10th. The other day I bought a 2007 Infiniti G35 with 13,000 miles on it. 6 speed manual, It's fun to drive.

Today I went and bought

Top Grain Black Leather Sofa & love seat that recline
Bedroom set: king bed frame, Ashley king matter (super comfortable), two tables and dresser.
Dining room: Just basic round wooden table with black cushioned chairs)

The place I bought them from: Mexico Furniture is pretty ghetto as is, but looks even more out of place in that its in a Thai plaza with Thai super market, Thai movie store, Thai restaurant etc. Then there's Mexico furniture with huge sign and Mexican flags all over.. I never would of guessed to go in there, but someone told me they have the best deals, and went in there and was glad I did. they have catalouges and can order all sorts of things and sell for much less mark up then the larger stores (exact same). This is definately the place to go if you need fruniture in Vegas. Pay cash = no tax, free delivery etc. Also got Pad Thai to go from the place next door - was great.
