Default Where Do You Play Online?

I'd like to know where most of the guys play around here?

Right now I'm mostly playing on Cake Poker I'm finding their low level Pot Limit Omaha games full of great action. Also the 33% rakeback helps the profit as well.

Of course if I ever get the tournament bug which happens maybe once a month I will enter a tournament at PokerStars. That site is incredible for offering tournaments around the clock, which is great for me since I have absolutely no sleeping schedule.

It will also be good to know where most of us our playing if we want to get a private game rolling or do some kind of freeroll.

I'm a huge fan of PokerStars. I think their company is one of the best managed all around. The affiliate program is nothing special but they obviously do well without a great affiliate program. In terms of the player side A+ all the way around.

It bugs me that when Full Tilt first came out they said no rakeback. Shorltly later everyone has rakeback. I ask a whole bunch of times and can't get changed over. How much sense does that really make that when I'm one of the first to patronize a site I get screwed in the long run.
Personally I like the way PokerStars is fair to everyone. There VIP program comes out to about 27% rakeback for most players.. and if you store up and use concierge you can get pretty much anything you would of bought anyways for a few grand, or at the very worst they'll give you 85% of live tournament buy-ins even if you don't play so you can get cash out of it that way too. Pretty much they do offer rakeback you just need to be creative to get it. Anyways I like that much better.

There are other things I like about them as we'll but I'll save it for some other post.

BTW my rand on rakeback. Same applies to other sites where I signed up when the room was new and got stuck later, its a dumb way of doing things (period!)

Pokerstars for tourneys, is the one site where there is always good action. They have the best software and customer base, but I only play there for fun mostly - since they dont give much rakeback/bonuses. That site is the biggest leak in my bankroll, even though I'm up on tourneys all over. lol.

I also like Carbon Poker for cashgames.

PKR.com is cool when you need a change. The loosest games online, but the software is so overkill, that you don't get in that many hands pr.hour. Go there and go bananas on emotes for an hour, win or loose some chips, and have fun.

I randomly play at some of the MicroGameing sites, whenever there is a good bonus up for grabs.

Fult Tilt is nice, but dont play there too much.

T6 poker, is new site, which has an insane sunday tourney with 250K Euro guaranteed. They use the old Games Grid Software (enhanced) so thats a pretty cool.

What games do you plan on Carbon Junior? You find the action good?

I should really test out PKR one of these days. Seems like that site attracts a lot of beginner and recreational players. I don't think any serious player could put up with a 3d poker room all day lol.

Thanks for reminding me of the good ol days at GamesGrid. I had no idea that T6 is using an enhanced version of that old software. Thats nuts, I'm going to go check it out right now.

Yeah, it's a actualy a mix of old games grid and old Mansion poker - both softwares which where great in my opinion.
The new Mansion software sucks, sadly, I loved that place.

I play mostly 0.5/1NL and 1/2NL and Fix 2/4 - 10/20 on occation. (On Carbon Poker)

Also, T6 is a multi level marketing company - so there is alot of people playing poker there, that doesnt know what poker is. But dont deposit too much, and withdraw often. Because, MLM Poker sites are known to crash. But these days it could be your paradise.

Yeah, I miss Mansion too! I don't think there will ever be a poker site with that kind of action ever again. But I won't miss not cashing in there ridiculous $100k daily tournaments. Ugh I just wanted to hit one of them.

One thing I don't miss about the software is not being able to turn off the sound! Every time it was your play that huge boom would scare the crap out of me.

Lol. Yes that BOOM was hillarious. I remember the Soccer World Cup 07. Mansion had a bonus going, that the 4 first hand every hour with pocket 66, the day England played a match, got 50 dollars pr. hand. I was playing like 9 tables, for 24 hours those days. The soccer commentators roared on the telly, and the computer kept going BOOM BOOM BOOM!
Made about 1k on that bonus.

My friend actually won the Mansion Tourney as I was watching him (at his place) About 27K he won. And we went to London after that and played at the Casinos there (We dont have Casinos here in Norway).

I got my share too - I was backing a friend 50/50, and we got 4. or 5.th place for 6k.

I never made it to more than 11.th place, I was Chip leader. And lost 2 coinflips in a row. Bah!

haha, that BOOM has me laughing man. Good story! I'm sure everyone else who played on Mansion knows exactly what we are talking about.

I remember that pocket six's promotion too. I didn't take advantage of that one though. I did however take advantage of the $1,000 free bet on the NFL game

Congrats on getting something from the gtd tournaments. At least I finally know someone who was able to cash in on them.

At the moment, I play pretty much exclusively at Stars, because I only really play tournaments online.

I have however played at many different sites over the years including, Pacific, Party, Mansion, Cake, Duplicate, Sunpoker, Noble, Gamesgrid, etc, etc, etc. I used to be pretty active at bonus whoring, back when the deals were good, and were easy to clear. Remeber the 1000% bonus at Noble Aidan? dont see that anymore...

I also hated the BOOOMing of Mansion poker, well, I hated that site in general. The games were sooo juicy at the times when I played there, and I kept getting my ass handed to me over and over again. Didnt even get in on that NFL promo they had

Nice -stars is great.
What kind of tourneys do you play?

I mostly play the 10d and 3d re-buys, and some of the 50dollar freezes (I can't bring my self to play a 10d freeze with 2000 players anymore, I just dont have the patience for it sadly - cause those tourneys has good ev, I belive). And occationaly I back friends in the sunday million. Just played one of those alone so far. I was pretty chanseless.

I have played at almost all online poker rooms available today but by far and away the best room is Stars. I'm mainly a tourney player so other than a few, there isn't really much available. I can't stand a lot of software as well. I don't like i-Poker much at all.

I usually play in buyins around 11-33. I won a 22 buck 1 rebuy 1 add on event last week. Didn't rebuy or add on and won $4077. That was pretty solid. Ended up withdrawing 3k after a couple of sick beats in cash tables.

I play at full tilt, but im just a micro-nl grinder. I did not know about rakeback when i signed up, but a few weeks later I learned about it, and sent full tilt support and support for rakebackpros.com an email stating that wanted to be connected with an affiliate, and two weeks later i got an email from FT support saying i was approved for rakeback!

I was also backdated and paid for the entire month of may, which was great of them. so for someone who started with 50 bucks, im sitting at 120 with another 15 in my rakeback account waiting to be transferred at the beginning of next month!

PS: i need to get a backer so i can grind .10/.25 NLHE, because i refuse to play .5/.10 when FT is raking 10%. So now i am pretty much stuck playing $5 SNG's... which is terrible, i hate the extreme variance that one can experience.

any backers want action? PM me! haha

I used to play frequently on partypoker, until the Americans got banned. Now i play mostly on the ipoker network. The traffic is OK, and there are some soft games out there. Pokerstars is great, one of the top rooms for een long time now ( what happend to planetpoker?) but i don't play there often.

I totally agree, that would be great. The only sites I have cash on are Pokerstars and Carbon poker. I'm really fond of both. I play tournies on stars, and cash on Carbon.

I'd really be into a private game, but my bankroll is still pretty small. About 220 on stars and 50 on Carbon, so it would be great if the stakes weren't high. I'm also a bankroll nit, and probably wouldn't play above my roll.

Jim, I read a post on 2+2 the other day that tilt is now offering rakeback for existing accounts. I don't remember the details of it, and don't have a link to the thread, but you may be able to get the hook up.

Didn't Plant Poker get shut down a few years back for shady dealings?
