Default What Happened to Duplicate Poker?

I just realized that this room is no longer operating which was sort of a surprise to me because I had seen them doing some mainstream advertising on some of the TV poker shows.

I wasn't a big fan of the concept behind this site, but it was original and I figured they would be able to hold down their niche at least. I guess it was prone to cheating and limited in stakes? did anyone ever play at this room while it was open?

In general, I think they were on the right path in trying to come up with an original concept . I guess it was somewhat clever in that they were able to be US based because of their concept as well.

Duplicate Poker collapsed shortly after the economy went south. Thanks for reminding me that they still owe me 23 bucks! I kind of have the feeling that they blew their wad advertising on television with little to no success.

I played there to take advantage of their +ev promotion for a trip to the Aussie PokerNews Cup, which one of my best buddies won.

I regretted seeing them go, was easy money on the affiliate side. Also those promos were the nuts! I donked off a bit there, unfortunately not many others did.
