Plays at: PokerStars Prefers: $8/$16 O.E | If anyones had internet outage while playing tournaments, or happens to know what specific sites policies are regarding this please post them here. I'll do some googling here in a bit too and think I'm going to email a few sites to ask. The reason I bring this up is today I'm about 3 hours into event 2 of the MSOP at Full Tilt. 5318 players had entered there is now 1700 left making the average chip stack around 9300. I'm doing well am in 73rd place with 23,700 chips when all of a sudden my internet goes out. After a few minutes of becoming really frustrated I feel it will come back up and I don't want to be on edge when I get reconnected. i go make some food come back its still down. Now i'm really annoyed. Takes me about 15-20 more minutes to get ahold of a friend (seeing as I have most of there phone numbers stored online and not a hard drive; something i'll be changing now). I get him to log in and by this time I'm down to 17000 chips and there are around 950 left. My internet's still down so I give him the read I have on each player about there avatars etc to refresh my memory. We play the remainder of the tournament on the phone with him describing action to me and me assisting in the decisions. I doubt it will be a big deal considering the money cashed for was insignificant we ended up busting in the 300's (paid top 558) so got peanuts for payout. Just wondering what are poker rooms policies on this situation? I'm sure its different for each site.. but I would hate if this ever happens again and I happen to do FT to end up having it come back on me by not knowing. Anyone have similar situation happen to them? Anyone know particular sites rules here? Lets see if we can get together a good list of the policy for at least the top 15 poker rooms or so.
