Default Full Tilt or Pokerstars?

Full Tilt and Pokerstars are arguably the largest and most popular online poker rooms, and people surely will have a preference between the two.

Well, how about you?

Full Tilt, or Pokerstars?

Which do you prefer? Why?

Assuming you have tried both sites, why do you like one over the other?

Please, by all means, go nuts!

I have not played too much on Full Tilt, but I believe I've played enough to say that I enjoy PokerStars much much more.

I think PokerStars is a better site overall, in terms of management, loyalty program and software. However, the software could be argued. I just don't like the cartoony feel it has. Full Tilt has added a cool feature for hardcore multi-tablers which is a auto-cap buyin feature. Which means every time your table balance is not maxed the software will top it off.

i would say it depends on the level you were wanting to play. FTP has a killer rake at 10nlhe, its 10%... redicoulous. FTP also has rakeback available at 27%. i would say just for longterm +EV... go with FTP, just make sure to deposit a roll big enough to handle 25nlhe, the rake is only 5% there, plus you get almost a third back.

Both are great companies, but I have trouble considering anyone in the same league as PokerStars.

This is most certainly not a biased affiliate opinion either because the only complaints I have about PokerStars is how poor their affiliate program is set up.

I also like the PokerStars VIP program much better than Full Tilt rakeback program because its fair to everyone. To me its silly how sites give some players rakeback and other players not depending on which affiliate they signed up with. As an affiliate I benefit in some ways from sites that set it up this way, but I would just as well prefer the sites themselves offered everyone rakeback or a VIP program so there would not be a bunch of players who want it but can't get it left out.
In terms of the value between the two, I think they're close. I haven't examined it a lot but I would think PokerStars VIP program pays out as much if not more value then Full Tilts rakeback program and the PokerStars one is available to everyone which is obviously a big plus.

I personally prefer Pokerstars because I think they're software is better, I like their tournament stucture better, (I'm mainly a tourney player), they're customer support is like 200 times better, and they're cash out by check policy is better. I think tilt requires you to cash out a minimum of 300, it's not like that on stars.

If it was just these two sites, I'd choose Full Tilt for rakeback, thats what would give the slight edge for me. But Stars has the vastly superior software, no comparison really. But rakeback is the deal maker for me when choosing a site. I was even lucky enough to find a friend who's an old school Party player and get 20% RB there. Huge imo.

Stars is better in every aspect except for the amount of fish. The games are a lot tougher there. Whats up with your signature Lirva?

i still stand behind FT being superior. With rakeback, it crushes PS in every level above 10NL.

Stars has a reward system equivalent to 25% rakeback. It is also a lot fairer without discrimination. It is better is all areas, the games are just tougher. How can you possibly think FT is better. What do they provide that is better besides softer games? Their customer service is terrible as well.

For serious players (Platinum Star) the Stars VIP rates should be much higher than Full Tilt rakeback rates. This has been my experience anyways.

I like the software FTP better, and rakeback is nice. I think the players are tougher on FTP.

I like the tournaments better on Stars, but I prefer Full Tilt because I like to play to stronger players and I like how the software looks more.
