Default Pistons vs Spurs in finals, dreading the thought of

This season of the NBA was a lot more exciting with lots of underdog stories rising up. The 76ers making the playoffs and actually beating defending court against the Celtics 3 times. Then obvious the worst to first Celtics, a solid start for the Magic, the Nice run by the Blazers early which faded almost as fast as it started, that amazing streak by the Rockets and of course the Hornetts until recently looking like maybe the team to beat. Also the Lakers returning to #1 seed in playoffs and now making the Western Conference finals.

Its been a really entertaining season, but some how I feel I would be really disappointed if we end up with a Spurs versus Pistons series. Not only because these two teams play a boring style of basketball but also there who people expect to make the finals each year.

Strongly pulling for a Lakers vs Celtics final, but will be happy with one or the other making it.

Couldn't be happier with the results
As a life long Boston Celtics fan (the only team I've ever really been loyal to long term) I'm pumped to get an opportunity to watch them in the finals. I was to young to remember when they actually won championships. Seriously. even if they get swept I'm just happy they have the chance again.

Agree Jim this was a pretty amazing season for the NBA.

Also...

The West was so tough that the last month of games were like playoff games. Chris Paul emerged as a real superstar. Good for the city of NO. You had blockbuster trades from a number of really good teams...just to make the finish real interesting. Kobe finally got the MVP because he started to pass the ball.

The Mavs disappointed me but I expected it after the last 2 years in the playoffs. The East playoffs turned out to be really competitive and entertaining.

And there is a pretty historicly epic matchup in the finals. Saw a replay of McHale clotheslining Kurt Rambis and you can just feel the tension even today. Add in all the superstars for each team and cant wait for this finals.

So whos your pick? Not sure what the line is but I think it will go at least sixand probably seven.

Im thinking LA in seven.

edit: and the best slam dunk contest since Jordan.

That was hella fun. I don't recall watching a championship where the team had the final 8 minutes to celebrate

2:30 seconds left and its still fun to watch here.

Yeah absolutely, this is one of the most memorable season in a long time and I think NBA will pick up again. Also its great to see Garnette, Allen, and Pierce all get a ring.
