Tongi wins WSOP Event 8 Mixed Game Championship

The inaugural Event #8 $10,000 buy-in WSOP Mixed Game Championship concluded last night with Tongi (real name: Anthony Rivera) on top. He headed into the nights final table as a short stack but Tom ‘durrr’ Dwan doubled him up on the first hand. Having not played many tournaments it was 22 year old Tongi’s experience at mixed cash games at both the Bellagio and Commerce Casino in Los Angeles that helped propel him to victory. Other final table players included Matt Glantz, James Mackey, Mike DeMichele, Sam Farha, Jeff Madsen and Eli Elezra.
