Default Mike Matusow wins 3rd Bracelet - 2008 WSOP Event 18

Merging two threads and changed titles, here's the news post Mike Matusow wins NL Rebuy 2-7 lowball draw event

OP below
_________________________________
This has always been on of my favorite events to read about, back when tournament updates where pretty much just in poker news papers and magazines this event was always stacked.

Event 18 - $5,000 No-Limit 2-7 SINGLE Draw w/ Rebuys

How's this for a final table?

Erick Lindgren 1100000
Mike Matusow 540000
Jeffrey Lisandro 510000
Barry Greenstein 440000
Tony 'G' Guoga 440000
David Benyamine 350000
Tom Schneider 195000

Not even sure who I'd like to see win it. Lindgren getting second bracelet would be cool. The Mouth is always fun.. Lisandro eh not a good TV personality so don't care about him getting another accolade, Barry G hard to cheer against charity, Tony G good for news but a bit annoying think i'll pass there too, Benyamine and Tom Schneider great internet personalities good for online poker.

Guess I'm routing for anyone but TonyG and Lisandro though wouldn't care all that much if they won.

Final table starts in 30 min

I'm cheering for Mikey or even Benyamine. I don't want Lisandro or Lindgren to win, those guys seem like dicks. I'm impartial toward Greenstien, Schneider and Tony.

LOL how does Lindgren seem like a Dick?

Benyamine and TonyG are out, 5 players left.

Looks like Tony G is still in? where are you getting updates from, i'm using pokernews. Perhaps they are delaying the report that their own horse has fallen?

Edit: Never mind i see now, your report was 6 or 7 minutes faster than pokernews though, where's it coming from?

I'm getting phone updates on other WSOP related news but happened to catch Tony G had been eliminated at the same time as getting the last update.

Default Mike Matusow wins 3rd bracelet on 2008 WSOP Event 18

Mike Matusow was over come with emotion last night, and thanked the fans two times as he’d just won the third WSOP bracelet of his career. This was not just any WSOP bracelet though, this was the coveted $5K with rebuy 2-7 No Limit Lowball Single Draw event which each year has a field made up primarily of only of high stakes poker’s more elite players. Last night his final table opponents included Jeff Lisandro, Tom Schneider, Erick Lindgren, Barry Greenstein, TonyG and David Benyamine.

He deserved it! This is one of the events I really love following and last night did not disapoint. Its good to hear Matusow has also been working himself out of debt and now has some cash to play with too. That was an awesome performance last night. Congrats Mikey!
