| Full Tilt Poker is offering players without the bankroll or means to get to Las Vegas a chance to compete in a miniature online version of 2008 WSOP.. This will be called the Full Tilt MSOP with the M standing for mini. Each tournament has the same structure as its live counterpart with the primary difference being these tournaments will be played online and feature a buy-ins 1/100th of the ordinary cost. Plays at: PokerStars Prefers: $8/$16 O.E | Event #2 was packed. 5218 players if I remember correctly. Obviously a huge success. The Bodog ones are dead and considering the value of their TLB promotion I think playing those is HUGE +EV. I realized tonight that I can't possibly compete in these plus run our poker affiliate business during the WSOP. Next year maybe but additional staff to really cover the WSOP well would run me $10K+ and the thing is I really like covering the WSOP so to me it would be a silly investment to hire someone else to do something I like doing just so I could reduce personal work load to play the MSOP's fresh. I'm a bit disappointed I won't be playing all them and competing on the leaderboard because the competition of poker is what really motivates me but its just smart business for this year to work with existing staff to play a big roll in the coverage myself. If I hated covering it no question I would work out an alternative and play the MSOPs because it was a really close/tough decision on what to do. To anyone who is free this time of the year, I think playing the remaining 22 events of Bodog MSOP is a really smart investment. |
