Default Prop Bet Between me and DrSliq

I'm chatting with DrSliq the other day and off the top of my head I think about and say: The only thing that sucks about Vegas is that its too easy to get married there I have to be careful about that. He laughs but I'm like "seriously what are the odds that within 5 years I don't end up marrying some chick I just met" and he's like hmm thinking about it and I'm like "is it even money?" he's like "NO WAY ITS EVEN $" so I'm like what are the odds - and he's like 250ish.
I'm totally thinking he's saying that 2.5 times I won't and one time I will. I'm like man no way I trust myself that much there is no way its even money and he's like wait - wtf are u saying. Basically he was saying 2.5 times I will end up marrying someone I hardly know - 1 time I won't. I was like are you kidding way to high.. my guy was this was an even money bet.

Anyways so now were on. He wanted to lay $4K on the bet which made me rething so then I was like nah I'll let you risk $500 on -250

------------------------------------------------
We had to set some additional terms and ironed out all the details which are below:

If I've dated a chick for less than nine months and get married to her outside of Neveda = NO ACTION

If I've dated the girl for 9+ months and get married ANYWHERE = I WIN BET

If I get married to anyone in Nevada that I've known less than 9 months = I LOSE BET

If 5 years pass and I've not married = I WIN BET

---------------------------------

I have no internetion of getting married to anyone in the next 5 years, but if I do I agree its most likely to happen in Vegas on a kinda whim if I did. I still think I'm +EV in this, but we'll see when a few more friends learn of this bet which side they're looking to jump on.

LOL!

The question is, if some chick has you at the end of the aisle, will you turn and run because of the money????

The stake of the bet being small with me having $200 at risk to make $500 makes it more interesting - because at my current state I win or lose over $1K in a day quite often - and that # will hopefully keep going up so I doubt the bet will change my actions that much with $200 on the line for me so it will be interesting to see in the future who had the best of it.

This is like my first steps to freedom though, heading to Vegas. I was raising a daughter for a long time - and still will be but now like 1/3 of the time - she's in school or at other my moms or her grandmothers the other side like 1/3 of the time - so he mom will have her half time so I'm still doing my half.. but this is like this is first time I'm going to be semi responsible free for a while.

I see to much poker, drinking, golfing (haven't golfed in 9 years), gambling, and picking up tourist chicks in the near future that getting married in 5 years seems unlikely although I'll tell ya 3 of the girls that I hooked up with last in Vegas if they suggested and I knew I'd get some right after, not so sure i'd of said no - However I did pass on one chick that was super drunk and I felt bad on that night and it was such easy sex for sure - I just felt bad - so who knows. A sober chick like the coolest one I met recently says it - umm might have a harder time saying no. Now the odds of getting a sober chick to my room even are low so getting married is lower
