Default Ivey Feeling a Bracelet

According to Negreanu's blog updates there is some crazy prop betting going on in the VIP room at this years WSOP. Ivey is betting everyone at 1.8 to 1 odds that he is going to win a Bracelet this year. Apparently, he bet Ted Forrest $500k that he would win two bracelets and $1 million if he wins 3. Quite a few guys seem to be jumping against Ivey, Negreanu also bet Ivey 200k per bracelet.

I guess Ivey is really feeling a bracelet this year, but one has to think that he is just crazy for taking this kind of action on himself. He will win more money from prop bets that probably the tournament prize pool.

Set up obv
If he wins nice pay day if he loses they'll take his next bet.
Just about each time I hear prop bets involving Ivey he has the best of it. Clearly doesn't in this case, so maybe he is just feeling charitable and giving back some of the money he's skimmed off these fools over the years. or he's setting them up for future bets.

Ivey is crap. Sooo overrated. He won't win a bracelet. he has no chance. Not a shadow of a doubt in my mind.

Wow you actually think Ivey is overrated? What is your reasoning? I kinda felt that to a couple of years ago. But this is one of the few live players that has been able to adjust and crush online poker.

Ivey also seems to be one of the poker pro's with the highest integrity. I read or heard from Doyle Brunson that Phil Ivey was the only person that asked Doyle about who he should give the money he owed to Chip Reese after he died.

Ivey is probly making a -ev bet, but honestly, I don't think he's overated. The fact is Ivey is a very very good poker player. Maybe not super stellar at any one game (although I heard he rocks stud games), but he is an underdog strictly because he is up against so many people. OTOH, if he plays all hte events he has a good shot.

I really think my pick for hte most overrated player is Hellmuth
