The Havad Khan Bulldozer... Now and Then

Im sure we all remember Havad Khan's introduction to the poker world. Im sure most of us hated this guy when they first showed him on ESPN, but since then Ive sort of become a Havad Khan fan. Im not even talking about the new Havad Khan that has calmed down, I like the Bulldozer Havad Khan that announced his presence to the Rio.

Ive learned that Havad was really one of the true internet poker grinders. The past few years Ive learned what it's like to be a grinder myself and there is a lot of frustration involved. Its almost not just like a feeling of "I have earned this" but more of a feeling like "Poker owes this to me"

I heard Havad talking about some of his ridiculous behavior at the WSOP, as he sort of said that it was the result of just grinding away for years at the poker tables and then finally having something go his way. Sure the guy looked like jackass, but when I watch those videos now I realize that this was really sort of like his holy grail as a grinder... to make it deep in the main event... finally, I guess I can understand some ridiculous behaviour.

I remember at the time googling his stats and wondering if he lives of FPP or is just mega rich. His SNG stats were horrible down a ton of money. It looked like maybe he had made up for it in MTT being a slight winner overall but tons and tons and tons of poker played.

The experiance he has though with all that poker information being processed is likely to pay off for hime for a long time to come in live games or when he focused on just a few tables online. His results since that win have been much better too.

I agree though he was hella fun to watch that year. I like that RainKahn fine.
