go to www.cardrunners.com and sign up.

If you hate reading books, why not watch videos instead?
These guys are the best pokerplayers around.

Cardrunners is definitely a great source! It sure beats reading too.

What is nuts when you watch these guys do their training video is that they never get themselves in a sticky situation and make everything look so simple. Then I try to mimic their play and get destroyed lol

Yeah, its pretty hard to play loose aggressive. You have to be very good to do that profitable. You need to learn the basic ABC poker first, before you go ahead and raise every button.

To newcomers to the game I'd say Brunsons Supersystem 2 is a must. Just read that, you need that brick in your ground work. But remember that poker has changed alot since then. So the tactics need to be modified today.

About 2 months ago, I played a session that was so terrible that I could not belive it. I Instantly went to amazon.com and bought 9 poker books. I tilt bought 9 books, cause clearly I sucked so much that I needed it.
I got the books some weeks ago. Im gonna post comments on them on here as I finish them (Yeah, and after I had bought the books, I went back to the tables, and won what I had lost, and what the books costed.) ---> Maybe thats a good "Off-tilt-advice" - When on Tilt, buy pokerbooks for X amount off money. lol

LOL pow tilt book-buying! thats hilarious. I usually tilt smoke-cigarettes, or tilt judo-chop everything around me.

Aidan has been trying to get me to check out cardrunners for some time, I think Ive ignored the link on msn about 7 times. Maybe I should check it out... lol.

I was recently in Thailand and stumbled upon a poker book in a book store. It was Doyle Brunson's "Online Poker". It was the worst piece of crap I have ever read. I showed my friends because it was funny how bad it was.

I went on tilt last week after bubbling 2 FTOPS satellites. I deposited on Stars at 3am, cracked open a bottle of Vodka and smashed them down with some Coca-Cola. Half a bottle later i had won 4k in a tourney.

I wouldn't recommend this though

i have found that forums like this one and a few others (i dont know if it is kosher on this forum to promote other strategy sites) are best for bettering your play, simply because when you take the time to explain something for someone else, it betters your grasp of the subject and you also get that warm/fuzzy feeling for helping someone.

By all means if you have information to share that is helpful to visitors there is no problem with sharing it. The only request we have is to not hyper link when unnecessary and no direct affiliate links.

I've read that Doyle Brunson online book. Basicly its just a giant advertisement for his online site, and yeah - the book sucks. Don't read it, it's a waste of time.
