While the rest of the poker world was watching the much anticipated $40,000 World Series of Poker Event, two Las Vegas bartenders were pitted heads up facing off for a World Series of Poker bracelet. What makes there story a bit more interesting is that both players are formerly from New York and have been taking shots between tending bar on the poker circuit for a while now. In the end it was Andrew Cohen who works at The Palms. In his post match interview he was so ecstatic to have won a bracelet he didn’t even have time yet to process what he’ll do with the $83K prize money her just won.

The durrrr challenge received some action today between Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan and Patrik Antonius, which made the 20th session of the challenge. Antonius was able to pull through with a small win and is now up a total of $424,631.50 over 14,243 hands played.

High Stakes Poker Season 5 Episode 12 aired last night and it’s biggest hand came when Doyle Brunson flopped a set of aces and David Peat made a huge raise with a flush draw. Session 19 was a short session between Patrik Antonius and Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan that lasted a total of 61 minutes for a total of 310 hands counted towards the challenge. Dwan was able to break his four session losing streak and took $96,358 off of Antonius. This now cuts Antonius overall lead of the challenge to $391,704.50 with 36,450 hand remaining to be played.

Patrik Antonius is running very well in the million dollar durrrr challenge by winning his fourth consecutive session and has now improved his overall lead by $488,133.50 with 36,760 hands remaining in the challenge. Today’s session was the 18th of the challenge and it only last 59 minutes with durrrr losing $328,470.50 over 290 hands.

High Stakes Poker aired the 10th episode of season 5 last night and featured another episode with Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan and Daniel Negreanu.
