PokerStars broke two traffic records this week, according to their own poker news section their game traffic has reached 150,000 simultaneous players, and according to PokerScout’s news they also reached 20,000 real money ring game players.

Josh Field is well known in the poker community as a multi account cheater who formerly played under the handle JJ Prodigy. Recently he issued many public apologies for his past actions and asked the forgiveness of his poker pears. Apparently the poker community is not ready to forgive him and neither is PokerStars who banned extended his online ban to their live PokerStars Caribbean Adventure high stakes poker tournaments.

PokerStars confirmed through a series of press releases this past week that a Macintosh version of their software is now fully functional, despite being listed as in Beta. To play Poker on Mac you can visit the PokerStars website and then find the Mac beta link from their download page.

Annette Obrestad is still moving ahead on one of the most impressive runs the poker world has ever seen. Four years ago at age 15 she played online poker for the first time, and since then she has parlayed $9 in freeroll profits into a multi million dollar bankroll, dozens of major tournament accomplishments including the WSOPE main event championship. Her latest award came earlier this month where in Paris she was crowned the “Tournament Performance of the Year Award” which makes her both the youngest and the first female player to have won this award.
